Season 5 of Southern Charm ended weeks ago, but the drama has continued between stars Thomas Ravenel and Ashley Jacobs. The former couple split earlier this month, but this past week, Ravenel implied in a series of tweets that Jacobs cheated on him before the split.
Us Weekly talked to Jacobs recently to give her a chance to respond to Ravenel’s accusations, and she says that she called things off late last month when she returned home to Santa Barbara, but she didn’t want to make that public.
“When I came back to Charleston, I was still spending time with Thomas, but I made it very clear to him that we weren’t exclusive. People can think, ‘She’s having her cake and eating it too,’ but I wasn’t necessarily dating people or hooking up with people,” explained Jacobs.

The 33-year-old nurse went on to say that at that time she went out to a restaurant with friends, and a cute guy ended up joining them. Jacobs says she asked herself if it was ok to flirt with him because it wasn’t like she going to take him home. They ended up exchanging phone numbers and talking back and forth, but she says she let Ravenel know when the story came out after someone took a video.
Jacobs admits that she later joined the man on a boat with friends, but she would not consider that to be cheating. But, when Ravenel checked her call log and saw how much she was talking to the guy, he was not happy. She says he thought she was being dishonest about how many conversations she was having with the guy, but she didn’t feel like she needed to explain herself.
She says that maybe she should have been more upfront with Ravenel about it, but it was harmless, and she told the other guy that she was in a “very complicated relationship” with Ravenel.
Jacobs also explained that on another night out in Charleston, a married man and his friends paid her and her friends’ tab, so they went over and thanked them. The group also claimed to know Ravenel and the cast of Southern Charm.

But then she got a picture from Ravenel of her and this guy, and it turned against her because it came out that she was spending time with a married man. At that point, she thought that there was no way she could talk to Ravenel anymore, and that was the last straw.
Jacobs says that Ravenel is the only person she has been intimate with since moving to Charleston, and the cheating accusations upset her. She says that maybe she could have communicated better, but at the time all of this happened they weren’t exclusive, so she doesn’t really feel she owed him that. However, she never expected him to get into her phone records, and she “did get busted.”
Neither Thomas Ravenel or Ashley Jacobs will be returning to Southern Charm for season six, which will air on Bravo in 2019.
