Real Housewives of New York stars Bethenny Frankel and Jill Zarin have ended their long, bitter feud, and it was Bobby Zarin’s passing that prompted their reconciliation. Bravo cameras were on hand as the former best friends spoke after Bobby’s funeral, and the emotional moment ended with Jill in tears.
Page Six is reporting that Bobby died last weekend after a long battle with cancer, and he would be happy to know that the solemn occasion brought the old friends back together again.
Jill was aware that cameras would be filming the service, but it was all in an effort to memorialize her late husband because he was an important part of the show and a good friend to a lot of people who have appeared on it. Everyone was very sad, and there was no drama.
Rest In Peace my love. Words can not express the hole in my heart. Bobby taught me what true and deep love is. Thank you my love for sharing your life with me.. for raising Allyson as if she was your own, being an amazing father and grandfather and teaching me how to be a better person. You inspire those around you to be the best they can be. I will never forget you… your legacy lives on through your beautiful children and grandchildren . I will continue to raise money and awareness for ITOG ( international Thyroid Oncology Group) so maybe this won’t happen to the next guy who draws the proverbial short straw. I will continue to honor you and make you proud . You taught me so many lessons. I will turn the lights off when I leave a room and try not to lose my keys! Lists! Yes I will make lists now that you can’t remind me. Thank you to all our friends, family and fans for the most incredible love you have shown our family. The messages bring tears to my eyes and will continue reading them all in the coming weeks. I will continue my tribute in the coming days and weeks and if you want to share anything please leave messages. Tomorrow is the funeral so I will sleep now. Love Jill
Frankel was in Aspen, Colorado when she found out about the 71-year-old’s death, and she immediately chartered a private jet back to New York. She arrived just 15 minutes before the start of the service at Riverside Memorial Chapel on the Upper West Side.
The Skinnygirl founder stood in the back during the service and then spoke to Jill before the 54-year-old went to East Hampton for her husband’s burial.
When they talked, Frankel told Jill that she loved Bobby. Jill got very emotional – because she wasn’t expecting Frankel to say that – and it caused her to cry.

Jill then told Frankel that Bobby wished the two of them would become friends again and the whole feud would come to an end. Bobby didn’t want to interfere, but he thought there wasn’t any reason the two of them shouldn’t be friends. Jill explained to Frankel that Bobby said, “You don’t have to be best friends, but you should be friends.”
After sharing that, Frankel responded by telling her former friend, “Well, I’m here.”
Jill then told Frankel that Bobby was proud of the woman, businesswoman, and mother that she had become.
“I told her we watched from a distance and that we are very happy for her and her success,” Jill reveals. “I said, ‘I’ve never seen you look more beautiful in my life.”
Things got even more emotional when Jill told Frankel that she is scared to be alone, adding that she always had boyfriends before she got married at the age of 23. But Frankel reassured her, saying that she was alone and there was nothing to be afraid of.
The exchange was quick, but Jill says it was sincere and nice. She believes her husband is saying that he is thankful their feud is over and done.
Bethenny Frankel and the former RHONY star stopped speaking back in 2010, but Jill Zarin said last summer that she doesn’t even remember what the two fought about.
