Former Counting On star Jill Duggar Dillard sent the rumor mill into overdrive this week when she shared a pic of herself and her son Samuel, seven months, on Instagram and fans were sure they saw a baby bump. Could the 26-year-old be expecting baby number three?
This isn’t the first time that Duggar Dillard has sparked pregnancy rumors. Just last month she posted a photo on Facebook that had many convinced she was expecting.
On top of that, her husband Derick Dillard shared a pic with prenatal vitamins in the background, so the signs are pointing to another baby being on the way.
But, if you read the directions for that specific brand of supplements, it says to take them before, during, and after pregnancy. They supposedly help with nursing, so she could just be taking them while breastfeeding baby Samuel.
If she is expecting again, it will no doubt mean more scrutiny for the couple who has received a ton of criticism over their parenting techniques. On Thanksgiving, fans criticized them for leaving Samuel on the floor while they ate.
They have also practiced “blanket training,” which is the technique of placing your child on a blanket and punishing them with a flexible ruler if they try to roll over or leave the blanket. The goal is for the child to learn not to leave the space.
Both Duggar Dillard and her husband have stated in the past that they would like to have an extremely large family, like her parents, so it wouldn’t be surprising if the couple made an announcement soon.
But, their procreation plans may have hit a snag, since TLC fired Dillard from Counting On after his transphobic comments against fellow reality star Jazz Jennings. Duggar Dillard followed her husband in a display of solidarity and is not returning for the new season, so that means the reality TV money has ended.
The couple has resorted to GoFundMe pages to try to raise money for their ministry, and it doesn’t appear that either of them has a job to earn income to support their family.
The Dillards continue to spark controversy, even after leaving the popular reality show. This past week, their church hosted a “pray the gay away” event, and Dillard promoted it on his social media.
The new season of Counting On – without the Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard – premieres Monday, February 26th on TLC.
