When’s comes to dating, in Hollywood or elsewhere, proximity is key. This is why so many couples are the product of working at the same job, or on the same set. With the advent of social media, that premise is organically turned on its head. For all intents and purposes, many individuals have access to an endless amount of people and potential prospects.
This is exactly how couple Wells Adams, known for his stint on reality TV hit The Bachelorette, and Sarah Hyland, from Modern Family, began their very modern romantic love story.
They tweeted at each other a couple of times and finally, Adams slid into her direct messages.
The rest is history.
Recently, Adams was asked how the couple manage such a public relationship. He admits it may seem that it would be quite crazy being in the spotlight but that they make it very comfortable and normal and organic.
They were seen for the first time together last October when they were dressed in themed Halloween costumes together.
This picture was taken three days after three words were exchanged. My smile has only grown, my heart has only deepened, and my world has only gotten better ever since. @wellsadams? You are the most phenomenal man I have ever met and I am the luckiest woman in the world to have you by my side. Thank you for calling me baby even when I’m acting crazy. Happy Birthday Llama! Interestingly enough, they’ve both been pretty open about their love and relationship via social media and specific interviews where they can’t help but gush about the other and their mutual fondness.
As for how they deal with the distance between them, Adams lives and works in Nashville, while Hyland lives and works in L.A. They try not to go more than a couple of weeks without seeing one another.
Hylands has recently revealed that going more than 5 days gets to be a little tough.
When asked if she thinks maintaining a long distance relationship is difficult, she added that she doesn’t think it’s tough if the love is there.
For now, the distance doesn’t infringe or put a damper on their relationship. They make it work because it’s important to them.
