Former Bachelor star, Chris Soules, went back to court on the 14th of September, Thursday, for a hearing about the fatal car accident which he was involved with earlier in the year. According to an affiliate of NBC, KWWL, Chris appeared to be “emotionless” during the five-minute pre-trial hearing.
The former reality star wore a white button-down shirt, a red tie, brown shoes, and a navy suit.
In a report from the Associated Press, Soules’ lawyers asked the judge to drop the charges levied against him for leaving the scene of the accident, which occurred in Aurora in April of 2017.
Soules was accused of a hit-and-run which caused the death of Kenneth Mosher, a 66-year-old farmer who was pronounced dead shortly after Chris hit him.
At the hearing, several changes were made to the “bill of particulars” and the wording of the trial information.
However, the seriousness of the charges against the former Bachelor star did not change. Soules is still being accused of a class D felony.
With that said, the reality star’s attorneys-at-law are still planning to pursue a dismissal. A hearing on a motion to dismiss the case is set for the 10th of October.
Just one week before he went back to court, the reality star appeared to be in good condition after he attended a fellow Bachelor alumni, Sharleen Joynt’s wedding in New York City. The ceremony was one of the first times he was seen out in public ever since the fatal accident of April 25, 2017, for which Chris claimed he was not guilty.
