Bill Skarsgard may forever be known to audiences as Pennywise, the evil clown, from the Stephen King novel turned movie It, but he’s soon to lead the Alison Eastwood movie Battlecreek. Set for a U.S. release date of November 3, 2017, Battlecreek is a drama romance based on Henry, a loner who suffers from a rare skin condition that causes him to avoid the sun and live his life at night.
Alison Eastwood is the daughter of triple threat actor, director, and producer Clint Eastwood and she also produced the television series Animal Intervention. Many will recognize her from her role as Mandy Nicholls in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
With the success of It, many people are anxious to see Bill Skarsgard in his next movie role and they won’t need to wait long. You can see the official trailer for Battlecreek in the video player below.

Battlecreek’s cast includes Bill Skarsgard as Henry, Paula Malcomson as Tallulah (Henry’s overprotective and overbearing mother), and Claire van der Boom as Alison, a beautiful young girl who comes to town and captures Henry’s interest. Though Henry’s life has been lived in the shadows, his interest in Alison awakens him to the realization that there’s more to life than what he’s lived.
Battlecreek debuted at the Santa Barbra International Film Festival where it was nominated for the Panavision Spirit Award for Independent Cinema.
Battlecreek appears to be an emotionally heavy, and tragic story that will pull on heartstrings. Bill Skarsgard has been cast in characters that are emotionally wounded, damaged, and often with an occult bent, such as his character Roman Godfrey in Netflix’s Hemlock Grove.
There is a lot of anticipation for the film as Alison Eastwood proves herself a storyteller with a passion for riveting narratives. Being Clint Eastwood’s daughter doesn’t hurt as she can gain his expertise firsthand, but don’t be fooled into thinking Alison hasn’t done her own leg work.
Being Clint Eastwood’s daughter might have some advantages but only because she has a direct line to professional advice that many other producers and directors wish they could attain.
Battlecreek is a spellbinding, independent movie and with the It’s popularity, Bill Skarsgard’s fans won’t want to miss this chance to see the actor explore other facets of his acting skills.
