‘Flipping Out’ Star Jeff Lewis’ Doctor Takes The Surrogates Side In Nasty Lawsuit

Jeff Lewis just made another enemy in his court battle with Alexandra Trent, the surrogate he and Gage Edward hired to give birth to their daughter, Monroe. Trent is suing the Flipping Out star for filming her without permission, and her OBGYN just testified on her behalf in a move that could sway judgement in her favor.
This week, Dr. Lindsey Cafferata told the court that she overheard Trent tell Bravo producers that she did not want the birth filmed for Flipping Out.
Cafferata also said that producers assured Trent that the birth would never make it to the show. Instead, they told her that they planned to film the event for Lewis and Edwards’ personal use.

According to People, Trent is suing Lewis and Edward for airing the birth on the show. She also included Bravo and Authentic Entertainment in the lawsuit. Lewis and Edward deny that Trent did not want the birth filmed and say she signed an agreement to allow film crews inside the hospital during the birth.
“When you agree to film a show, you sign a release,” Lewis explained.
Trent was featured on a couple of episodes of Flipping Out. In Season 10, the series aired her giving birth to Lewis and Edwards’ daughter and captured the first moments the couple held their daughter.
After the birth, Lewis made some comments about how Trent should have gotten waxed ahead of time and how Edward had never seen a vagina that big. Trent claims the comments “deeply damaged” her and spawned bouts of depression.
For Lewis and Edward, they believe Trent is lying about the filming agreement in a bid for financial gain. The reality stars are also confident nothing will become of the lawsuit because all of the parties involved were under contractual agreements during the surrogacy.
