At Bill and Hillary’s house in Chappaqua, New York, a fire broke out according to a source as revealed by Us Weekly. The police department of New Castle said in the publication that the former first lady’s property was on fire around 2:51 pm – the time when the phone call was made.
Fortunately, no one was hurt by the fire, and everything was “under control.” In a report form lohud.com, the couple lived there for almost twenty years after they bought it for $1.7 million in 1999.
They also bought the house right across from it for $1.16 million in August of 2016, probably to keep out photographers and other people from spying on them.
It’s common practice for celebrities and public figures to buy the properties around their own home to keep tabloid organizations from purchasing houses for the sake of spying on them.
In fact, Mark Zuckerberg – the CEO and creator of Facebook – bought all of the homes on his own to keep the paparazzi and other nuisances away.
People have spotted Hillary and Bill in Chappaqua several times in the past. Fans have even stopped by Hillary for a selfie shortly after her loss to Donald Trump during the 2016 election.
The fan and Hillary supporter said she felt “heartbroken” by the loss of Hillary to Trump, so she went out for a walk and noticed Bill and Hillary doing the same thing: walking the dogs to clear their head.
She was spotted at a Village Market the next month shopping for a Thanksgiving meal. Hillary’s loss to Donald was seen by many as the loss of the century, considering many people thought for sure that Trump would lose due to his “unpresidential” nature.
