Finn Jones Opens Up About ‘Iron Fist’ Getting Cancelled After Only Two Seasons

Unfortunately for the fans, Netflix has decided that Iron Fist ends with season 2. The announcement was made on Friday, and now, the Marvel show’s star Finn Jones is reacting to the very early cancelation.
The actor took to his social media of choice, Instagram, to post a pic of him in character, captioning it: ‘I have an enormous amount of love and respect for everybody involved in the last two seasons of this show. Defending the greatest city in the world among the most talented and the warmest people has truly been a privilege and joy. Blessed to have taken this journey and I’m grateful for the ongoing support.’
Despite Netflix pulling the plug on the show itself, his character is guaranteed to appear in other future projects.
Speaking off, Finn, as the Iron Fist, has already been in Luke Cage and in The Defenders miniseries.
The official statement from Netflix, via Vanity Fair, reads: ‘Marvel’s Iron Fist will not return for a third season. Everybody at Marvel Television and Netflix is very proud of the series and really grateful for all the hard work from our incredible cast, our crew, and showrunners. We are thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we have shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the Immortal Iron Fist will live on.’
What do you think about the Iron Fist series’ storyline being cut so short? Are you a disappointed fan or do you think it wasn’t good enough to continue airing?
