The Teen Mom OG 2 star, Farrah Abraham, wrote a short essay regarding the firing of Dave Eason, Jenelle Evan’s husband, from all MTV-related productions. In a statement released to Us Weekly, Farrah stated she hopes the reality star has learned his lesson on what the “LGBT community is trying to improve.”
The 26-year-old said it is “very hurtful” to their members and she hopes he makes a friend who can “hopefully educate” Dave on his lack of compassion.
The Teen Mom OG 2 star said she hopes he doesn’t teach his children to speak in such a way. His choice of words are not allowed in a working environment, and MTV made a right decision by firing him, the reality star remarked.
As you may know, Dave lost his job on Teen Mom 2 following statements he made about the LGBT community. A network representative said his words don’t reflect their beliefs in any way shape or form.
MTV revealed they would let him go, effective immediately, with six weeks left of production, and fortunately for fans of the series, it will not effect Jenelle’s story-line at all.
On the 19th of February, Monday, Dave allegedly said LGBT people are “abominations,” and he intends to have his children avoid them at all costs.
The reality star wrote, “if you lay down with dogs you get up with fleas.” Evans said to reporters from TMZ that her husband has no problem with such people.
According to Jenelle, she and Dave have attended many parties in the past with LGBT individuals, and there’s never been an issue. Additionally, their old manager is gay, so his comments were merely impulsive and poorly thought out.
