The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills rumor mill is working in overdrive this time of year. The network is reportedly in talks to cast Denise Richards for the upcoming season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after shunning her for years. How are fans reacting to the new casting claims?
Richards has wanted to be a part of the hit reality series since way back in 2011. At the time, Richards was married to Charlie Sheen and expressed interest in becoming a full time cast member of RHOBH. Despite her ties to fame, producers never gave her a chance — until now. Inside sources told Page Six that Richards is currently in talks to join the show next season and is very close to ironing out a contract.

The source revealed that Richards is a big fan of the show and is currently friends with several cast members, including Lisa Rinna and Kyle Richards. The only thing that held her back in the past was timing, which Richards believes has resolved itself.
“She’s going to be a great fit. She’s not afraid of the drama,” the insider dished. “And she lives a glamorous, Hollywood life — which the show looks for.”
Of course, rumors of Richards joining the show are nothing new. The former model has been rumored to be joining the show for years. Hopefully the rumors are true this time, but until Bravo says anything official it’s all speculation at this point.
Even still, fans have reacted fairly positively to the idea of Richards shaking things up on the show.
In fact, many fans voiced their full support of Richards joining the reality show on social media. Some fans believe that Richards would be a great addition and could really infuse new life into the series. Others admitted that they’ve dreamed of this day for a long time and hope producers finally pull the trigger and bring her on board.
Richards has not commented on the rumors surrounding her joining RHOBH. Back in 2011, she talked about the reports and her desire to be a part of the series. At the time, Richards confessed that she probably wasn’t ready to be in front of the cameras and expose so much of her personal life. We don’t know if her feelings have changed 7 years later, but we can always hope that is the case.
Richards appeared on RHOBH for a quick cameo in Season 5. She also competed on Season 8 of Dancing With the Stars and starred in her own show, Denise Richards: It’s Complicated.
