Is first daughter Ivanka Trump begging for an invite to the highly anticipated royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? Fans have been dissing her for it on social media!
There are two possibilities here – Ivanka is either really bad at social media stuff, or she is fishing for a May royal wedding invite!
That is what her followers have been accusing her of after she tweeted a congratulatory message to the couple.
Alongside an article that announced May 19 as the date the pair had chosen to walk down the aisle, Ivanka wrote: ‘Wishing Meghan and Prince Harry a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness together. I have no doubt this couple will do extraordinary things, both individually and collectively. Congratulations!’
Although it all sounds pretty well-intentioned, many social media users did not think the same and started slamming her!
Some mocked her by writing that she’ll never get that invite, while others claimed it was really obvious she was fishing for it!
One user even called her ‘#thirsty.’
‘There is nothing you could tweet that would get you an invite,’ was the consensus.
At this point in time, it is still pretty unclear whether or not any of the first family members will be in attendance at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in May.
But considering that Markle is actually a big fan of Ivanka, nothing is out of the question like everyone claims.
Back in 2014, Meghan interviewed the first daughter for her blog, and this is what she wrote about Ivanka: ‘Staggeringly beautiful, but so incredibly savvy and intelligent that she has not just carved a niche for herself under her father’s famous Trump notoriety, she’s undoubtedly created her own empire.’
Celebrity Insider readers, do you believe that Ivanka was just trying to get invited to the royal wedding or was her tweet genuine?
