Recently, late George Michael’s lover Fadi Fawaz has revealed that the two months he and the legend spent in Australia during Michael’s rehab may have been challenging but in some ways he had a great, unforgettable time alongside the singer.
As you probably already know, George Michael has been found dead in his own London home on Christmas. His body was found by his boyfriend, Fadi Fawaz.
In 2013, George Michael checked into Sanctuary, a clinic in Byron Bay for which he paid $46,000 per week. He stayed there for two months and was accompanied by Fawaz.
Now, Fawaz went to Twitter to reminisce about those times, saying that they were two tough months but he will still cherish them forever.
When a fan on twitter posted picture of one of the luxurious Sanctuary houses, the mourning boyfriend remembered how they used to play soccer there.
The fan wrote: “I remember you [Fawaz] being with GM in Byron Bay, we spoke everyday coz [sic] it was a bit of a rough patch.”
Fawaz retweeted the message soon after.
However, some fans of the late singer were not so supportive of the couple, some even accusing Fawaz of being with Michael only to profit off of his celebrity status and money.
Recently Fawaz posted on Twitter: “September 2011 till December 2016 best years of my life. I will always forever miss you. Xxx.”
Since the star has been found dead in his bed on Christmas day by Fawaz there have been many speculations that the boyfriend could be involved somehow. Furthermore, the allegations were somehow fed by the news that the couple didn’t have the best relationship – in fact, the two have split many times but always returned to each other.
On top of that, Fawaz also admitted to have inexplicably slept in his car on the night before finding Michael’s body.
