Expecting Hilary Duff Was ‘Nervous’ Thinking She Might Have Another Boy

Hilary Duff is expecting her second addition to the family and she couldn’t be happier to have a baby girl! The actress, who’s already the mother of a boy opened up about what she felt thinking she might have another son.
While on KIIS-FM’s On Air With Ryan Seacrest Duff shared that: ‘I was so nervous beforehand because I thought for sure I was going to have a boy. I have a boy already – which would’ve been great, and I am obsessed with Luca – but I really wanted one of each.’
She went on: ‘It was funny I cared so much. My sister has girls, and I feel like I am really girly. But obviously, for the past six years, I have bought, like, monsters and trucks and planes. Luca’s into all the boy stuff, so everything’s blue and green. I was just ready for pink and purple stuff. I was so excited. It was really fun.’
The Younger star had a gender reveal party on Mother’s Day, and that is when she learned that she is pregnant with a girl this time around.
‘It was the most fun day. We had close family and friends over.’
The actress added that they ordered ‘these really cute confetti cannons on Etsy. They look like smoke, but it is powder and some confetti and you twist them … It sounds so silly because it is kind of childish, but it’s so exciting.’
Previously, while on the Late Late Show With James Corden, Duff shared the hilarious moniker her son Luca, 6, wants to name his baby sister.
‘We are up for any kind of suggestions, but Luca thinks Cafont Croissant is, like, the coolest name. When I just refer to it as ‘Cafont,’ and I am like, ‘That would be so cool, nobody at school is going to be named Cafont,’ and he is like, ‘Croissant. Cafont Croissant.’ It, like, goes together, there is no separating the two.’
