Celebrity Insider reported on the 24th of October that Donald Trump asked Emma Thompson out on a date, like many other women, in the past. However, Emma revealed in an interview during The Graham Norton Show that she regrets not agreeing to go out with him.
Thompson stated she “could’ve changed the course of history,” perhaps being able to persuade him to change his outlooks on America’s political culture.
According to the actress, Trump called her when she was filming the movie, Primary Colors, a film about the presidential era of Bill Clinton which came out in 1997.
At the time, people associated Trump’s name with “tasteless architecture” and a “narcissistic kind of madness.” Emma said her “phone rang one day” and lo-and-behold, it was Donald Trump on the other line.
When he answered, he said, “Hi, it’s Donald Trump here,” and she proclaimed, “Oh, f*** off.”
Trump told Emma he was interested in having her stay at one of his apartments before going out for dinner and she said she would get back to him.
However, she just “didn’t know what to say,” and she was “astounded” as to how he got her number in the first place. Additionally, the actress stated that if she would’ve gone out with him, she could’ve found out if his hair is real or not.
Donald Trump, during a press conference in the past, explained that his hair is, in fact, real, despite media reports to the contrary.
Emma isn’t the only woman to be subjected to Donald’s charm, or lack there of. Other women such as Brooke Shields, Candice Bergen, Princess Diana, Salma Hayek, Carla Bruni, and Carol Alt have admitted that Donald asked them out once as well.
