For the fans, Game of Thrones is not yet over, but for some of the cast members, the journey has come to an end. We have learned that Emilia Clarke has already shot her very last scene as the much-loved character, Daenerys Targaryen!
The talented actress talked about it in an interview with Vanity Fair, saying: ‘It f**ked me up. Knowing that is going to be a lasting flavor in someone’s mouth of what Daenerys is…’
Oh no! We’re excited but very scared as well!
As you may already know, the show’s last season is still being shot, and it’s not set to air before next year.
Although they are working on some spin-offs and prequels, the series as we know it is never getting rebooted and Clarke is not reprising her role in any of the future versions.
‘This story, A Song of Fire and Ice, is done. There is no revival, reboot, spinoff talk,’ HBO’s Casey Bloys told The Hollywood Reporter.
As for what the public can look forward to in the last episodes of the series, all production and cast have kept very quiet about it.
‘They’re great. It’s fantastic. The fans are going to be very, very happy,’ Bloys teased.
In addition, we also know that former cast member Jason Momoa was on set quite a lot throughout the last season and hyped it up.
‘It is going to be the greatest thing that has ever aired on TV. It is going to be unbelievable. It is going to f**k up a lot of people. And it was a bummer because I am a huge fan and I did not want to know what is going on. I was like, ‘Damn, I did not want to know that!’’ Jason told EW.
