While on a trip to Italy, Grey’s Anatomy actress Ellen Pompeo ended up getting robbed! She took to social media to share the awful incident with her many followers.
‘My purse was stolen from under my nose! I blame the rose! But Grazia to whoever stole it for dropping it on the street exactly intact. I was tracking my phone and chasing you down…had I caught you… it wouldn’t have ended well for you… I’m nice but let’s not forget my heritage… NAPOLITANO….’ she wrote on Instagram.
‘Also I hope you were smiling because e Sarai catturato perche sei in macchina. Please forgive my horrible Italian,’ Ellen added.
The message in Italian is informing the perpetrator or perpetrators that they might just be on camera!
The Italian police noticed her post and responded: ‘#Thankyou @EllenPompeo #GreysAnatomy Happy to know the #Police in #Florence helped you.’

Meanwhile, her co-star Giacomo Gianniotti—who plays Dr. Andrew DeLuca on the show— made his wish of being there and catching the burglar or burglars for her known.
‘Cmon Ellen! You did not hit up your boy for an Italian translation? Haha I will be there in July, and I will be on the prowl for your boy, he don’t stand a chance. Glad you are safe!’ the actor wrote in the comment section.
But despite the unpleasant incident, the actress still had a pretty good time during her vacation there.
Ellen has been very active on social media in the last few days, sharing a lot of great moments that included pics of the unforgettable Florence sights.
She’s also been practicing her Italian and overall enjoying the destination.
Hopefully, this was the only bad thing on her trip!
