During the latest episode of The Ellen DeGeneres show on the 11th of January, Ellen revealed that her father had died. The 59-year-old TV host said she “lost (her) dad this week” in addition to “what’s going on in Monetico,” referring to the mudslide in Santa Barbara.
Ellen revealed her father died at the age of 92-years-old, and he lived a good, long life and on his terms, the way he wanted. Interestingly enough, Ellen revealed that her father was a “Christian Scientist” his whole life and never consumed even a little bit of medicine.
Ellen’s father allegedly never went to a doctor, received a vaccination, or taken drugs of any kind, and he still lived to be 92-years-old.
When I was a kid, my dad took us on one vacation to Warner Bros. Studios. He loved this business. He loved that I was in it. When he died, I saw this rainbow over the stage they named for me. pic.twitter.com/QQswe3mwfi

Her father was very proud of the TV host and was never judgmental. Ellen explained her dad as being one of the most non-judgmental people out there, and before he passed away, she got to say “goodbye to him.”
When DeGeneres was a child, her father took her and the rest of the family to the Warner Brothers Studio’s because he “loved this business” and loved the fact that his daughter is such a star within it.
In a picture tweeted on her Twitter account, Ellen showed herself alongside her brother Vance and her father.
Her Twitter feed blew up with kind words of commemoration and emotional support. One user wrote: “I’m so sorry to hear about your loss Ellen, but we know you’ll get through it. Your father sounded like a great man, and I’m happy to know you got to say goodbye before he finally passed away.”
