We have learned that currently, Ed Westwick is being investigated by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office because of the rape allegations against him. The case that involved the Gossip Girl star has been submitted by the LAPD on March 20 and is still under review.
Fans of the popular TV series may be aware that the actor has been accused of rape by at least three women.
Executive assistant Rachel Eck, previously claimed Ed ‘sexually assaulted‘ her while at a West Hollywood party.
According to the 23-year-old, back in 2014, he ‘aggressively groped’ her inside a hotel room.
Also, 2014 is the year when other two women Aurélie Wynn, and Kristina Cohen accused Westwick of raping them.
The actor was fired by BBC’s Ordeal by Innocence soon after the allegations were made public, but he took to social media to deny the claims.
‘It is disheartening and sad to me that as a result of two unverified and probably untrue social media claims, there are some in this environment who could conclude I’ve had anything to do with such a vile and horrific conduct. I have absolutely not, and I’m cooperating with the authorities so that they can clear my name as soon as possible,’ he tweeted.
Now, years since the accusations were first made public, it looks like the case is still open and the Gossip Girl actor is under investigation for the rape and sexual assault accusations.
