The Toronto-rapper, Drake, who used to play on the Canadian TV drama, Degrassi, filmed a new music video involving many of his former castmates. It might be one of the most nostalgia-inducing videos of all time.
Even the man who shot Drake’s character, Jimmy Brooks, was invited to the filming of the video. Despite there being a plethora of Degrassi alum present, there were a few noticeably absent people.
One fan wrote on the ‘Gram that they were upset JT didn’t make it back for the video.
JT said he didn’t make it back for the video because he “thought it was a scam!” Daniel also wrote on Drake’s Instagram, “really sad I missed this. Brought back some amazing memories — miss and love you brother.”
I’m a little upset.

Deanna Klymkiw, who portrayed Alex Nunez, also one of Degrassi’s bad girls, didn’t make it to the set either. Mike Lobel, who was Jay Hoggart for six seasons, said he also couldn’t go.
Many others from the cult-series came out for Drake’s video including Lauren Collins, Sarah Barrable-Tishauer, Dalmar Abuzeid, Nina Dobrev, Marc Donato, Jake Goldsbie, AJ Saudin, Christina Schmidt, and Cassie Steele.
Even some of the teachers who made short appearances on the series appeared including Jason Mewes, Kevin Smith, and Linlyn Lue. It was a great day for Drake’s former co-stars, but some people are curious why Drake chose to do such a thing.
Some social media users pointed out that it may have something to do with Pusha-T’s recent release of an incredibly embarrassing photo of Drake where he had white skin and donned blackface.
Fans noted that it may have been a PR move to call attention to his past career as an actor, rather than just a rapper and producer. As it was previously reported, Pusha-T released his song, The Story Of Adidon, where he ripped on the Toronto rapper intensely.
