First of all, Drake gifted the Miami Senior High School $25,000 and OVO-designed uniforms.
This happened on Monday, February 5. He also gave University of Miami student Destiny James a $50,000 check for her tuition.
On Tuesday, Drake bought the groceries for a whole supermarket full of patrons.
The shoppers from Sabor Tropical Supermarket got a great treat when the rapper walked in into the store around 4 p.m. this Tuesday afternoon.
He had a megaphone with him, and he used it to announce that he would be paying for everyone’s groceries! It seems that Drake spent around $50,000.
E! News discussed with one of the lucky customers who were there at the time and the shopper said that no one knew that Drake was coming to that location and people were there for their usual shopping.
On the other hand, there were reportedly a lot of cameras planted there, and everyone was wondering what was all that about, and what was going to happen there.
Latest rumors are saying that Drake did these acts in order to celebrate good deeds and his upcoming music video for God’s Plan.
The same customer also said that Drake was really nice to all the shoppers and that ‘he took photos with everyone who asked and shook hands. He helped people find what they were looking for and encouraged all—to buy everything they want and to fill their carts.’
Drake’s song called God’s Plan spent its second week in a row at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 list. Congrats, Drake!
