It is no secret that Donald Trump’s antics have been irking people to the point that they have been taking revenge by vandalizing his Walk of Fame star. So how can the vandalizing be stopped? Apparently, West Hollywood is seriously thinking of just removing the star!
Despite the fact that The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has claimed in the past that no star would ever be removed, no matter how much backlash a celeb receives, it seems like they might have changed their minds.
Yesterday, the West Hollywood City Council actually voted in favor of removing the president’s star!
‘West Hollywood City council unanimously passes the resolution asking the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove Donald Trump star on the Walk of Fame #horcruxdestroyed #bellicose #belligerent #unAmericanvalues #MakeAmericaintoAmericaAgain,’ Mayor John Duran tweeted last night.
However, it has to be noted that the star is not going anywhere as of now as this is just a proposal.
Still, West Hollywood is requesting from Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, the L.A. City Council, as well as the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to make the said proposal into reality.
The Chamber of Commerce is set to make the final decision in this matter.
‘The City Council will be considering adopting a resolution urging the Los Angeles City Council and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove President Donald Trump’s star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, due to his disturbing treatment of women and to other actions that don’t meet the values of the City of West Hollywood, the region, the state, and the country,’ the city council states.

It went on to say that ‘Having a ‘star’ on the Walk of Fame is a privilege that’s highly sought after by people in entertainment, allowing Mr. Trump to continue to have it in light of his behavior towards women, particularly in the #timesup and #metoo movements, should not be acceptable in Hollywood and entertainment industry communities.’
The response to this has been mixed with more people actually supporting the removal of the star, some social media users suggesting someone else who ‘deserves it’ should get the spot, such as the late Carrie Fisher.
