Michael Cohen is President Donald Trump’s longtime lawyer. He stated that he personally paid Stormy Daniels back in 2016.
Trump’s lawyer released an official statement saying that he paid Stormy $130,000.
Even if he claims that he paid the money which lots of people are suspecting were to keep things as quiet as possible regarding Stormy’s affair with the President, he never said what the cash was for.
The lawyer counseled the Trump Organization for over ten years, and he also stated that he was never paid back after taking the money from his very own pocket.
As long as we are true to America’s founding and the example of our heroes. As long as we open our eyes to God’s grace – and open our hearts to God’s love – then America will forever be the land of the free, the home of the brave, and a light unto all nations. Thank you to our wonderful hosts, and thank you to all of our heroes for serving, protecting and inspiring America each and every day. God bless you, and God bless America. #NationalPrayerBreakfast
‘Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms. Clifford, and neither reimbursed me for the payment, either directly or indirectly,’ he claimed in the statement.
‘The payment to Ms. Clifford was lawful, and was not a campaign contribution or a campaign expenditure by anyone.’
Apart from this statement, Cohen refused to further discuss the subject and to answer any questions related to it.
He didn’t say if Trump knew about this arrangement or if similar transactions took place as well throughout the time.
Cohen made headlines all over the place a while ago when he stated that Trump denied having an affair with Stormy. This is the first time that Cohen talks about taking part in the suspected payment that was made to Stormy.
