The president of the United States, Donald Trump, says he didn’t watch last night’s new episode of Saturday Night Live, but he had his own opinion on the show’s supposed political bias. On Twitter, the president said that it had “no talent or charm. It’s just a political ad for the Dems.”
However, the politician did have kind words for Kanye West, who wore a “Make America Great Again” hat. For Saturday Night Live’s season premiere last night, Kanye West took the stage and dressed up as a sparking water bottle, in what some hailed as a great performance, while others criticized it, mostly for political reasons.
You can check out the president’s tweet below:
Like many, I don’t watch Saturday Night Live (even though I past hosted it) – no longer funny, no talent or charm. It is just a political ad for the Dems. Word is that Kanye West, who put on a MAGA hat after the show (despite being told “no”), was great. He’s leading the charge!

As most know, SNL and its creator, Lorne Michaels, has taken many shots at Trump since he first began his campaign for the presidency back in 2016. In fact, they first started ripping on him when he announced his intention to run in 2015.
Moreover, Alec Baldwin received an Emmy Award for his impersonation of the president, despite the fact that a lot of people online state his portrayal is lackluster.
Reportedly, Alec is coming back to reprise his role as the president sometime this season. Coincidentally, Trump actually hosted SNL back in November 2015.
Lorne and NBC took a lot of criticism for having him on. They’re not the only ones, however. Jimmy Fallon received considerable criticism as well for bringing the president on his show and tousling Trump’s hair.
Since then, Jimmy expressed regret for doing so, and has abandoned his “harmless funny-man” routine and has begun criticizing politics and Trump more often.
Some of his fans accused Jimmy of selling out his old principles to merely appease Hollywood elites who vehemently detest the president. While others believe he did so just to save his ratings.
