While in attendance at the Gridiron Club Dinner, the current president joked about the fact that a lot of people from his administration have been either fired or resigned, saying that Melania is next to leave the White House. Ever since the cheating allegations against Donald Trump exploded, Melania has been even more distant than usual.
The First Lady has been shading Donald by storming off tarmacs ahead of him, canceling trips and more!
But Trump did as he always does and turned his obvious marital problems into a standup comedy number that the press just ate up and made the other politicians either shake their heads subtly or laugh awkwardly.
‘So many people have been leaving the White House. It has actually been really exciting and invigorating because you want new thoughts. So I like a turnover. I like chaos. It’s really good. Now, the question everybody keeps asking: Who is going to be the next to leave, Steve Miller or Melania?’
But that was not all; the Donald continued to make fun of himself, his wife and members of his administration.
He joked that Steve Bannon might have leaked info to CNN before turning to Mike Pence.
‘He’s showing a particularly keen interest in the news these days. He’s asking, ‘Has he been impeached yet?’ I do not like that. Mike, you cannot be impeached when there is no crime,’ he said before he added: ‘I thought that was going to get a much better laugh.’
Seeing how people were not too crazy about that one joke, he threw his wife under the bus saying ‘Melania said use it, it’s good.’
