Donald Trump has made a lot of news during his hour-long interview at the White House with Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity. The new president blasted the “Saturday Night Live” writer, who attacked his 10-year-old son, Barron Trump. The billionaire also slammed Madonna for wanting to “blow up” the Oval Office. However, one of the most interesting moments of the chat is the part about former President Barack Obama. The New York real estate mogul said that he believes that the 44th U.S. president likes him.
President Trump is always full of surprises, and he keeps journalists and political experts regularly engaged. For example, the man, who spent close to five years entertaining the birther conspiracy, thinks that Obama loves him. Moreover, let us not forget, Trump spent months telling the world that Obama was incompetent and incapable of taking the country in the right direction.
Mr. Obama did return some hits, but it was never on the same level. The Democratic politician mostly spent his time mocking the former reality television star. Now, that he has won the presidency, Trump is more magnanimous and is signaling a closeness with Obama that people were not aware of before the Fox News interview.
The Republican president said: “What amazed me is that I was vicious to him in statements, he was vicious to me in statements, and here we are getting along, we’re riding up Pennsylvania Avenue talk, we don’t even mention it.” He also added: “I guess that’s the world of politics. But I was tough on him, he was tough on me and I like him, he likes me. I think he likes me. I mean, you’re going to have to ask him but I think he likes me.”
The Obamas have handled the transition in the best way possible and it seems Trump appreciated their commitment to this country.
