Shockingly enough, the president’s son, Don Jr. is more scared that one day, his sons might be falsely accused of sexual harassment or of assault instead of his daughters being the victims of it. The man apparently started to think more about that after seeing Dr. Christine Ford’s testimony against Brett Kavanaugh.
This obviously caused a lot of backlash due to the fact that one out of five women claim to go through it at least once in their lives and it seems like Donald Trump Jr. is suggesting men being falsely accused is not only more common but also worse as a crime.
During his very first joint camera interview with new girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle for Daily Mail TV, Don stated: ‘I’ve got boys, and I’ve got girls. And when I see what is going on right now, it’s scary.’
Here he was referring to the highly publicized case of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of having assaulted her sexually when they were still high school students.
That is when he was asked who he was more worried about, his daughters or sons and he replied: ‘Right now, I would say my sons.’
He went on: ‘For the people who are real victims of these things, when it’s so obviously political in cases like this, it diminishes the real claims.’
It’s crazy how Don Jr. so easily undermines the horrible experiences of so many women in the country.
Not only is one in five women reportedly the survivor of rape but one in three reports experiencing ‘some form of contact sexual violence in their lifetime,’ National Sexual Violence Resource Center states.
There’s no doubt at this point that he is not taking the #MeToo movement seriously and is mocking it.
