America! Forget about the people protesting his presidency or the crowd size disputes – the new president of the United States is having a Twitter Moment, capturing his own opinion and feelings about the first few days in office. Donald Trump has gathered on his account the most positive of tweets.
“THANK YOU to my amazing family for their support since I announced my candidacy on 6/16/2015,” tweeted the new President.
The Twitter Moment makes it pretty clear how the 45th President wants to be perceived by the citizens and by media.
As you all probably already know, Donald Trump rules over social media already, Twitter being his platform of choice most of the time. Talk of Trump far outstrips anything else on the social media service, with the new president being discussed more than 10 times as often as all of the Kardashians combined.
“The Trump administration is only four days old, but it’s already evident that Twitter is playing a significant role inside it — not just as a publishing tool, but as a feedback channel,” BuzzFeed senior technology writer Alex Kantrowitz wrote Monday.
“Spicer and other members of the administration are clearly watching the platform closely, monitoring the activity on it and acting based on what they see there. Trump used the platform vigorously and effectively during his campaign; now, it seems, little has changed.”
“#BestPractice: Create your own Twitter Moment to tell a story with Tweets, just like @POTUShttps://t.co/sz379RK9KB” — Twitter Government (@gov)
Donald Trump’s personal Twitter account @realDonaldTrump, is his favorite way of directly reaching his 21.7 million followers and denying any media gossip that he believes to be untrue. However, this time, the Twitter Moment was made on his official @POTUS account.
Is this presidency going to be a Twitter based one?
