In the latest episode of Total Bellas, Nikki goes to the doctor’s office in order to hopefully get the green light for competing at WrestleMania 2017. As fans may remember, the wrestler hurt her neck back in 2016 and returned to the ring no less than seven months later, following a surgery that fused her spine back together!
As the medic showed her an x-ray of her injured neck, he told Nikki that he was rather worried she might have herniated above the fusion.
‘It has become like a domino effect. You can’t deny you have a condition with the spine. I am afraid that, if you keep doing what you’re doing, this is going to end up in another surgery. Or even worse, bodily injury … the first time, God gave you a chance to do that, so how much can you push? You have to understand, there’s a risk. Let’s put it this way. If you were a family member of mine, I probably would be telling you, this is time to find something else. I would prefer not to do it,’ the doctor explained.
We’ll have to wait for the next episode in order to find out whether or not Nikki chose to listen to her medical specialist’s advice but it sounds like she really should, or she might put her health in grave danger!
Is this the last we’ve seen of Nikki Bella in the ring?
The woman also opened up recently about her injury on Dancing with the Stars.
Nikki talked about realizing how precious life is when she almost became paralyzed.
She recalled the time when the medics told her her neck was about to break in half, explaining that unit that moment she was just enjoying being a champion and not really listening to her own body.
Nikki felt ‘untouchable’ before suffering that injury.
Do you believe she should retire or risk her health and continue fighting?
