It seems that former Teen Mom OG star Mackenzie Standifer is a little bitter that she and her husband, Ryan Edwards, won’t be returning to the show next season. This past weekend, Standifer attempted to show her fans how “fake” reality TV really is with a revealing post on her Instagram Stories.
Standifer showed a video of MTV crew members surrounding a dining table where a woman and child are sitting. It is hard to tell who is sitting at the table, but it looks like the child could possibly be Standifer’s son, Hudson. The 21-year-old captioned the video “Family time set up by MTV. Faaakkkkeeeeeeeeeeee.”
Since Edwards and Standifer recently quit the show, the footage is most likely old, but that isn’t keeping her from calling out the network. Last month, the couple revealed that they weren’t returning to Teen Mom OG because the network told them that they didn’t want to show Edwards recovering from his addiction to heroin.
However, they did want to contract with their unborn child, and when he is born, they wanted to have him film with Edwards’ parents to make it look like someone else was raising their son.
Just three days after Standifer made that claim, police arrested Edwards in Red Bank, Tennessee, and charged him with simple possession of heroin. Insiders say that police did release Edwards a week later, but he “is in complete denial” about his addiction and “refuses to go to rehab.”
“[He] is happy to be out of jail,” the insider added. “Obviously, he was sober while he was in jail. Mackenzie is sticking with him.”
Now that they have lost their MTV paycheck, and are attempting to pay off the debt Ryan Edwards accrued with his $10,000 a week drug habit, Standifer has started a new business as a wedding and event planner. She recently re-launched her website and is trying to build a new brand. She is calling the business Mackenzie Edwards Weddings and Events, but in her bio, she never mentions MTV or her time on Teen Mom OG.

She does, however, tell potential clients that she loves “all things wedding and events,” and her mission is to make people’s “dreams come to fruition.” Mackenzie Standifer charges anywhere between $150 to $1,500 depending on the service, and she is using her own wedding photos as her website graphics.
Season 8 of Teen Mom OG — with Amber Portwood, Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, and new cast member Bristol Palin — premieres on MTV, Monday, October 1st.
