It sounds like Derick has decided to defy the Duggars again! The man claimed he has no problems with atheists stopping by the church even though that would definitely be pretty upsetting for the deeply religious family.
But the controversial reality TV star is not the only one who is doing shady moves.
As fans of Counting On may know already, not too long ago, his wife Jill Duggar took to social media to share that she was reading a book about not believing in God.
Although she made it seem like she was recommending it to people who still have questions or whose faith is wavering, the fact that she was reading it in the first place made a lot of people think Jill felt like she needed that reassurance that God is real herself.
As for Derick, a few months after his disgraceful firing from the show for his hate speech against transgender teen star Jazz Jennings, he apparently did the unthinkable as far as the religious family is concerned.
He invited atheists to their church!
The controversy actually started with him inviting ‘any LGBTQ person and anyone else’ to attend a service along with the family this upcoming Sunday in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Of course, many people thought the tweet’s only role was actually just to do some damage control after his Jazz Jennings scandal.
But one social media user was more curious to know if she could come attend as well despite the fact that she is atheist.
Surprisingly enough, Derick’s response was ‘absolutely!’
