According to a report from BET.com, Black Panther is the top-earning superhero movie in North America, as it ended its run in theatres with a whopping $700 million. The success of the movie shocked nearly everyone in Hollywood, but analysts recognized that it was about to crush at the box office when it started to break pre-sale ticket records.
As a result, many people have looked at the film with much pride, with one of them being the Academy Award winner, Denzel Washington, who admits that he started to cry because he was so happy it had succeeded in the way that it did.
During an interview, when the journalist asked him what was the last movie that brought him to tears, the actor said it had to be Black Panther. It had a huge impact on him emotionally and physiologically.
Denzel reflected on his time in Hollywood, as well as the way things have changed since he grew up. The Book Of Eli alum said he looks at Black Panther‘s achievement as a passing of the torch of sorts.
“I said, Man, look at these young boys, man. And I actually – I just started crying,” the actor remarked.
I can't believe I just wrote those words to be honest. LIFE IS NUTS!!!! ?

As it was mentioned earlier in the article, Denzel isn’t the only Hollywood entertainer who looks at Black Panther in this way. The film went on to become, not only a box office success but also a cultural phenomenon.
The movie managed to show that black actors could have a starring role, in a production where African-Americans are not type-casted as a basketball player, a slave, a drug dealer, a boxer, or a gangster.
As for Denzel, his latest film, The Equalizer 2, has done well at the box office as well. It is the first time that he has starred in his own sequel.
