An interview of Madison De La Garza, who is Demi Lovato’s little sister, has her fans feeling hopeful.
Madison recently sat down for a chit-chat with Millennial Hollywood and she opened up for the first time about Demi’s overdose and her healing process while in rehab.
The young actress explained: “Demi’s doing…she’s doing really well. She’s working really hard on her sobriety and we’re all so incredibly proud of her… It’s been crazy for our family. It’s been a lot. Um but we’ve been through a lot together and every single time, I mean if you read my mom’s book you would know,… Every time we go through something, we always come out on the other side a hundred times stronger than before. And so we’ve just been um we’ve been so thankful for everything. For the little things.”
Madison said she is eager for Demi to leave rehab and spend some quality time together.
She shared: “I guess I’m really excited to… I mean there’s so many little things. It sounds so small, but go to [frozen yogurt spot] Menchie’s… Honestly, I’m more of a Pinkberry person, but she likes Menchie’s and so we like we usually go there.”
Demi’s mom, Dianna de la Garza, previously opened up about her current condition telling Newsmax: “She’s happy. She’s healthy. She’s working on her sobriety, and she’s getting the help she needs. That in itself encourages me about her future and about the future of our family.”
She concluded by: “You don’t see it coming, and that’s the scary thing. The opioid crisis in America is at an epidemic level, and people don’t understand that until they start researching it…After this happened, I started researching and looking into how opioids are killing our kids. It’s happening, I think, it’s every 15 minutes someone dies of an overdose. It’s not just the kids, either—it’s grown-ups. It’s mothers. It’s fathers.”
It has been confirmed that Wilmer Valderrama and Demi have been spending a lot of time together, bonding and rekindling the flames of love since her overdose.
Demi has a lot of supporters rooting for her.
