Demi Lovato Goes To Rehab And Cancels The Rest Of Her Tour

Thankfully, Demi Lovato has decided to cancel the rest of her world tour and instead, focus on recovering following her scary overdose. It looks like the singer has already checked into rehab and now, one rep has confirmed that the remaining tour stops in Mexico, Chile, Argentina as well as in Brazil are no longer going to take place.
It was announced that the fans would be able to receive refunds for their purchased tickets starting tomorrow, August 10.
Meanwhile, Nation and Lotus Productions ‘wish Demi Lovato the very best now and in the future and we really hope to see her soon in South America.’
The great news that she chose her health comes after she opened up about her problems on social media, almost two weeks following her scary drug overdose.
‘I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet,’ she wrote on Instagram.
She went on to tell her many followers that ‘I now need time to heal and really focus on my sobriety and my road to recovery. The love you’ve all shown me will never be forgotten, and I look forward to the day when I can say I came out on the other side. I will keep fighting.’
E! News previously confirmed that after being discharged from the hospital, Demi Lovato checked into a rehab facility that remains undisclosed.
One insider told E! News that ‘Demi’s team was hopeful that she would complete the tour dates, but Demi’s recovery comes first. Everyone’s trying to just be respectful by giving her team and family space to figure things out.’
