Del The Funky From The Gorillaz Rushed To The Hospital After Falling Off The Stage

Gorillaz has been on the road for awhile along with the Internet and Little Dragon, but at the Roskilde Festival in Demark this past weekend, The Gorillaz had to end their set very early. During the final part of their performance, Del The Funky Homosapien fell down when in the middle of performing, “Clint Eastwood.”
Damon Albarn had to bring the concert to a close and thanked everyone in the audience for coming out. In a report from The Independent, the rapper was “conscious and talking to his team,” but was clearly hurt.
Thank you all for the love! I’m doing alright but will be in the hospital for a bit, the care here is outstanding though. Much love to @gorillaz for having me out and I’ll be back soon yall?? pic.twitter.com/p383Mc2Qh5

Del took to Twitter later on and said he was “doing alright,” but would be in the hospital for a while. As fans of the band know, Del has collaborated with the Gorillaz several times, including on their album, “Clint Eastwood,” as well as “Rock The House.”
According to reports, Del, initially, wasn’t supposed to perform on the tracks but ended up staying in the studio for a little while longer and then came up with something that the Gorillaz chose to use.
In an interview with a publication after the success of “Clint Eastwood,” Del said that he came up with his parts to the song after reading the book, “How To Write A Hit Song.”
Del claims he bought the book with a coupon that his mother gave him one evening. When the song went platinum, he gave the RIAA certificate to his mom as a “thank you” for giving him the coupon.
As for his injuries, sources claim that Del will get better soon, and wasn’t terribly injured. Del isn’t the only person to get hurt onstage during a performance.
The rhythm guitar player and singer for thrash metal band, Metallica, once had to go to the hospital when the pyrotechnics backfired and burned him in the middle of a performance.
