Deadpool – and Ryan Reynolds – are saying “sorry” to David Beckham in a big way, following their nasty comments of him in the last movie. During the first film in 2016, the character, portrayed by Reynolds, asks the audience, “have you ever heard David Beckham speak?”
The actor goes on to compare the legendary soccer player’s voice to someone who “‘mouthsexed’ a can of helium.” Because Beckham felt so hurt by the insult, Deadpool came out to apologize for it and in a big way.
The character sent text messages saying “sorry” to the soccer player, but that didn’t appear to do the trick. Following the failure to capture his attention, Deadpool showed up to his door with milk and cookies.
He asks, “too soon? and Beckham subsequently slams the door in his face.

Following a few awkward interactions, Ryan and David eventually apologize to each other and hug it out. However, later on in the clip, it was revealed that David didn’t even realize what Deadpool was saying “sorry” for.
Beckham joked that it could’ve been due to some of Ryan’s worst films including Blade: Trinity, Green Lantern, and a few others.
Whether Reynolds has suffered in his career or not is not of importance, the real shock here is the length went to in order to promote the upcoming movie.
One has to acknowledge the originality of the promotional campaign. Deadpool is slated to come out later in May, likely becoming the film to knock The Avengers: Infinity War out of its top spot. The latest Avengers film is the most successful movie of this year, even beating Black Panther.
