America’s Got Talent winner Darci Lynne Farmer is getting her own Christmas special and she’s bringing her puppets. Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas is set to air on December 11, 2018, at 9 p.m ET/PT and celebrity guests include Kristin Chenoweth, Toby Keith, Hunter Hayes, Pentatonix and Lindsey Stirling. Darci Lynne Farmer won America’s Got Talent season 12 after mesmerizing audiences with her ventriloquism.
Though considered a rare talent in children and teens, Darci Lynne is the third ventriloquist to win the AGT title and became a fan favorite. She is also the third child to win the competition.
Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas is Farmer’s first special and is being promoted as a family-friendly holiday special that everyone will enjoy. In addition to the celebrity performers, Darci Lynne will perform with her famous puppets Petunia, Oscar, Edna, and Katie.
NBC released a statement describing the special and its line-up of celebrity performers.
“The one-hour telecast will feature musical performances and sketches from the talented young singer-ventriloquist, along with her lively puppets. There are also several feature performances from such notable guests as multi-award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth, singer-songwriter Toby Keith, country music superstar Hunter Hayes, three-time Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling artist Pentatonix and two-time Billboard Music Award-winning electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling.”
Darci Lynne and Pentatonix both appeared on NBC’s Christmas in Rockefeller Center that celebrated the Center’s Christmas tree lighting.

As Darci Lynne Farmer won America’s Got Talent, those watching the show will see special appearances by AGT hosts Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell.
Darci Lynne Farmer was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and will bring viewers home with her for her Christmas special.
Kristin Chenoweth is also an Oklahoma native as well as Toby Keith.
Chenoweth will perform “What A Wonderful World” and Farmer will team up with Keith as the pair visits the OK Kids Korral (the Toby Keith Foundation), a well-respected charity for children battling cancer.
In addition to Chenoweth’s “What A Wonderful World,” other songs that will be performed on the special include “Mary Did You Know,” “Santa Baby,” and “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town. H
Additional performances with Pentatonix and Stirling – as well as puppets Petunia, Oscar, Edna, and Katie – will feature many familiar holiday tunes such as “Santa Baby,” “Mary Did You Know” and “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.” Hunter Hayes will perform his new song, “This Christmas” for the first time.
