According to new reports, a bus that was driving cast and crew members of Dancing with the Stars was involved in a terrifying accident in Iowa. Apparently, the scary incident was caused by the bad weather at the time.
The bus was allegedly involved in a 70 vehicle pileup while driving on the icy highway just outside of Ames, Iowa.
The crash happened today, February 5 and the show took to social media soon after to explain the ordeal.
The official statement posted on Instagram read: ‘One of our tour buses transporting cast and crew members of Dancing with the Stars: Live! Light Up The Night was involved in a huge multi-car accident this very afternoon due to the bad weather while en route to Ames, Iowa. All of cast and crew members are fine, some recovering from minor injuries.’
We are glad no one on the show was hurt too badly seeing how the accident had such a magnitude.
But the show everyone was looking forward to seeing towards has been canceled in order to let those involved recover completely.
They also made sure to apologize to all of the other people involved in the accident.
‘Given this unforeseen accident and the fact that the safety and health of our cast and crew is of the utmost importance, the show at Stephens Auditorium in Ames, IA has been canceled. To anyone involved in the accident, the cast sends their best wishes for a speedy recovery, and their deepest apologies to all the fans who’ve been waiting to see the show tonight,’ the post explained.
They went on to say that the rescheduling of the said show is going to be decided later.
Just a few hours before the accident, Frankie Muniz tweeted about the scary weather.
‘Riding in the bus on our way to the show tonight in Ames, Iowa, looking out the window at the snow-covered ground in this crazy blizzard listening to unreleased songs of a band I was in 8 years ago…’
It was later announced that one person has passed away while five others are in critical condition.
