Daddy Yankee had a great performance at the Latin American Music Awards, one that will remain on the audience’s brain for a long time for sure! The man delivered a very touching rendition of his own single, Yo Contra Ti at the Latin AMAs earlier tonight.
Considering that Yankee’s song, released last year, was a tribute to breast cancer patients, during his performance tonight, the singer had survivor Jessie Reyes by his side, the same person who also appears in the music video.

Everyone there was amazed by the performance, and the same thing can also be said about those watching from home who were quick to post their reactions on social media.
‘WHAT A PERFORMANCE! SUCH AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE! #LatinAMAs @daddy_yankee,’ one user raved over the great show Daddy Yankee delivered.
‘Wow @daddy_yankee you’re my hero,’ someone else said.
‘Best performance of the night @daddy_yankee y la orquesta sinfónica de Puerto Rico!! that was powerful, at the latin AMAs increible increible increible de verdad que el es un #iconomundial #orgulloboricua #poderosomensaje.’
On Wednesday, the man also teased the whole thing while chatting with ET.
He told the outlet that ‘We’re gonna bring a message of hope and inspiration to all the cancer survivors around the world. You can’t miss that one, it is going to be a powerful performance.’
The song is as personal as possible to Yankee as he made sure to talk with women fighting with cancer while writing it.
‘It was hard for me. Talking to them, I was really trying to contain myself. Thanks to their words, I came up with the inspiration to create the song. It is a powerful song, and the most important thing is that it is a message that can inspire them and motivate them to go through their tests in life and trying to face cancer in a different way,’ he stated.
