The soccer player was accused of sexual assault by a Las Vegas woman! Furthermore, the alleged victim has filed a lawsuit, and CNN has the details!
Kathryn Mayorga, the accuser, claims that during a fun night in Las Vegas back in 2009, Cristiano Ronald raped her as she shouted ‘no, no, no’ and then paid $375,000 for her silence.
The news about the lawsuit was first shared by a German publication, Der Spiegel.
According to the woman, they met at the Palms Hotel and Casino, and that is when the famous sportsman invited her and a group of her pals to his hotel suite.
CNN has shared that Kathryn claims he ‘exposed himself’ as she was changing into something appropriate for the Jacuzzi.
He apparently asked for oral sex and when she refused, he forced himself on her after dragging the alleged victim to another room.
Kathryn says that after, he apologized, saying he was ‘usually a gentleman.’
Furthermore, his team tried to ‘coerce her’ into signing an NDA and paid $375,000 for her silence.
Der Spiegel alleged he raped someone last year as well but a rep for Ronaldo denied it vehemently.
Now, when the scandal is back more explosive than ever, another rep slammed the German publication’s report as ‘journalistic fiction’ and ‘blatantly illegal.’
‘It violates the personal rights of client Cristiano Ronaldo in a serious way. This is inadmissible reporting of suspicions in the area of privacy,’ the rep added.
Ronaldo himself took to Facebook Live after the lawsuit was filed to tell his fans: ‘What they said today: Fake, fake news. They want to promote by my name. It’s normal. They want to be famous — to say my name. Yeah, it’s part of the job.’
