A judge granted Chris Soules the right to travel before his court date in January of next year. Us Weekly confirmed that the former star of The Bachelor – who got into a fatal car accident this year – is now allowed to travel despite not hearing a verdict.
Chris wanted to travel from Iowa to Illinois, between the 15th and 26th of December. The Judicial Branch of Iowa granted 36-year-old the right to drive during that time.
On the 13th of December, Wednesday, court officials gave him the right to do so. However, it isn’t clear why he is going to Illinois, but according to reports, Chris may be visiting his family including his sister who lives there.
As you may know, police arrested Chris on the 24th of April after a truck he was driving slammed into the back-end of a transport truck driven by a man named, Kenneth Mosher – a local farmer.
Kenneth – who was 66-years-old – died in the hospital not long after the incident. The Dancing With The Stars alum pleaded not guilty back in May to leaving the scene of a crime.
In September of this year, Chris’ attorneys-at-law asked the judge to dismiss the charge because Chris allegedly fulfilled his legal obligations by phoning 911 and waiting for the ambulance to come and attempt to revive Mosher.
Additionally, Chris was wearing an ankle-monitor to ensure he didn’t leave home. In November, the court allowed him to take it off. Soules lawyer, Alfredo Parris, said to reporters for KCRG-TV that the whole incident still has Chris “shook up.” Alfredo said the reality star is still “rattled.”
