So sad! According to new reports, country crooner Daryle Singletary has passed away suddenly at the age of only 46. The cause of death hasn’t been confirmed as of yet.
The man was found dead in his own home in Tennessee today.
The news of his tragic passing was confirmed by a rep who also explained that the cause of death is still ‘pending.’
As fans already know Daryle was very popular throughout the 1990s and the early 2000s and was known even today for his traditional country sound.
His sudden death is even the more shocking considering he had a show three days ago in Alabama and showed no signs of being sick.
The 46-year-old country singer left behind his wife Holly and four children – sons Jonah and Mercer and daughters Charlotte and Nora.
Daryle’s career is a long and successful one.
He started singing gospel when he was just a child alongside his family.
In 1990 he moved to Nashville and started working as a demo singer.
In 1995 he produced and released his very first record after having his talent and potential recognized by the legendary Randy Travis, who eventually helped Daryle sign a recording contract.
The second single of his debut album, which might also be his biggest hit titled I Let Her Lie hit number 2 on the Billboard country charts.
Also from this record, the song Too Much Fun, hit number 4 on the same chart.
In 1996, he released the album All Because and it’s single Amen Kind of Love debuted as a No. 2 country hit.
The singer released albums in 1998, 2002, 2007 as well as in 2015 but unfortunately, he wasn’t awarded too much commercial success following the early 2000s.
Still, Daryle was very proud of his ability to keep traditional country music alive and not compromise for the sake of success.
‘There are still people out there that want to hear traditional country music. I have been fortunate enough to keep it real and not have to compromise,’ he stated.
Rest in Peace Daryle Singletary!
