Despite a messy offseason, TLC just announced that Counting On will return for Season 7 next year. Now that we know the 19 Kids and Counting spin-off will have at least one more season, the biggest question is who will return to action. Which Duggars will be back when Counting On returns next spring?
According to Romper, Joy-Anna and Jana Duggar were filmed getting pedicures, so we know that they will return in some capacity next season. Joy-Anna, of course, is still dealing with rumors of a shotgun wedding as she prepares to have her first baby with husband Austin Forsyth.
It is safe to assume that Joy-Anna’s pregnancy will play a big role in Season 7, though it isn’t clear if the show will address the rumors surrounding her wedding. Joy-Anna is expected to give birth sometime in February.
TLC announced the upcoming season with a teaser trailer featuring newlyweds Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell. Like Joy-Anna, the couple is expecting their first child next year. In the clip, producers told fans that they can follow Joseph and Kendra’s pregnancy when the new season of Counting On debuts in the spring.
ICYMI: Joe and Kendra are expecting!!
This, of course, isn’t the first pregnancy featured on the show. Jessa Duggar documented both of her births on Counting On and continues to obsess over her boys on social media.
As far as Joy-Anna is concerned, the reality star is still fighting rumors that she got pregnant before marrying Austin. According to The Hollywood Gossip, Joy-Anna recently shared another photo of her baby bump that left fans wondering if she is lying about the conception.
Joy-Anna just posted a picture that shows her full baby bump — the first of its kind since November — and gynecologist Dr. Sean Henry examined the pic to establish a timeline for the pregnancy. Dr. Henry, who hasn’t treated Joy-Anna, believes that the Counting On star is around 32 weeks pregnant, which is two weeks further than Joy-Anna has asserted.
If Dr. Henry is correct, then there is a strong chance that Joy-Anna got pregnant before tying the knot with Austin. This is a huge violation of the Duggar’s strict courtship rules, which forbids just about any type of physical contact, let alone premarital sex. Hopefully, Joy-Anna’s birth will clear this mess up, though the Duggars will likely never admit to having a shotgun wedding.
There are, of course, a few faces that won’t return for the new season of Counting On. Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are officially no longer a part of the show following his controversial tweets about fellow TLC star Jazz Jennings.

As fans will recall, Derick slammed Jennings on several occasions for being transgender and TLC issued a statement about his future on the show last month. By all intents and purposes, the network fired Derick for the comments and assured fans that he will no longer be featured on the show. Unfortunately, the same holds true for Jill, who will likely follow her husband’s lead.
Counting On will return to TLC in Spring 2018.
