Joy-Anna Duggar and her sister Jinger Duggar may have given birth to their babies just a few months apart but Counting On fans have noticed there is one major difference when it comes to the sister’s parenting styles. While Jinger has been sharing pictures of baby Felicity on the reg. Joy-Anna has not posted a photo of Gideon in almost a month.
Joy-Anna doesn’t give fans too many updates on social media, but in her last post, she shared a sweet pic of her smiling baby while she was helping her husband, Austin Forsyth, “spread gravel.”
“Love when I get to work with my man!!” Duggar wrote. “(I came to bring him lunch, then decided to stay and help him spread the gravel).”
According to In Touch Weekly, fans were quick to comment about how much Gideon looks like his dad, with one calling the baby “Austin’s mini-me.”
Jinger — who has her own Instagram account instead of a shared one — and her husband Jeremy Vuolo have posted pic after pic of their bundle of joy. So much so, that they have had to fire back at haters who don’t think Felicity should wear a headband.
We don’t know why the sisters differ in sharing their babies, but fans speculate it may have something to do with Joy-Anna’s difficult labor.
Unlike her sister Jinger, Joy-Anna did not have an easy labor and delivery. After more than 20 hours of laboring at home, her family rushed her to the hospital for an emergency C-section after the midwife discovered Gideon was breech.
In Gideon’s birth special that aired on TLC in March, Joy-Anna explained that she wanted to try having a home birth because she knew she would be comfortable at home. But, they were only 30 minutes from the hospital in case an emergency caused them to change their plans. Joy-Anna added that she was nervous about giving birth and tried not to be scared.
“Seeing my wife in pain, that was probably about the hardest,” said Forsyth.
Here’s hoping we get to see more of Gideon in the future.
Fans can catch up with Joy-Anna Duggar and Jinger Duggar when new episodes of Counting On hit TLC in 2019.
