Counting On star Jinger Duggar and her husband Jeremy Vuolo are enjoying some vacation time in Los Angeles before they welcome their first child later this summer. The couple lives in Laredo, Texas, but decided to enjoy some fun in the California sun this past week, and they are sharing photos on Instagram of their time in Hollywood.
Duggar shared a pic of palm trees leading to the Hollywood sign, and she captioned it with “Iconic view. Taking in the Hollywood sign. Exploring LA,” adding palm tree and sunshine emojis.
In addition to the scenery, the couple has also enjoyed the wonderful food the city has to offer. They shared pictures of a big salad she enjoyed at a coffee house while he read the newspaper, and then she bragged about a banana dulce de leche ice cream from LA dessert shop MILK.
The couple didn’t give any explanation for their trip, but it looks like they are just spending time with friends before they enter into life as first-time parents.
Just a few days ago, Duggar posted a 20-week baby bump update while wearing a fitted black t-shirt and revealed that the baby was the size of an artichoke. Previously, at 15 weeks, she compared her baby’s size to an apple, and at 18 weeks, with a bell pepper.
While the baby’s size is no secret, the gender still is; and fans are speculating on whether or not Duggar will be the first one of her sisters to give birth to a little girl. Since the Vuolo’s have yet to have a gender reveal, fans are looking for any hint or clue that their baby could be the first female grand-Duggar.
They are looking at every picture so closely that it seems some fans may have lost their minds. Apparently, there are those that have time to nitpick every detail of the Duggars’ life, and there are some who believe the 24-year-old is having a girl because of how high she is carrying. But, there are others who think they have figured out it’s a girl because of her swollen nose.
It may seem like a bizarre detail, but beginning in the first trimester and lasting into the second, an expectant mother’s blood vessels expand to send blood to the baby. And, it doesn’t just happen in the uterus, but in the entire body.
Dr. Megan Schmitt, a Park Nicollet OB-GYN, told Romper that this happens in the nasal passages and sinuses and can give moms a runny nose.
However, there is no truth to it being an indication of a baby’s gender. The only part of a woman’s body that may show some indication is her breasts.
Some studies have shown that women who are having girls will experience more breast swelling than those who are pregnant with boys.
