‘Counting On’ Star Jinger Duggar Makes Peace With Rebel Cousin Amy Duggar

Counting On fans have a reason to be happy, now that Jinger Duggar has started following her cousin Amy Duggar on Instagram again. For the last couple of years, many thought that there was a feud between the two — especially since Cousin Amy didn’t attend Jinger’s wedding.
When Jinger married Jeremy Vuolo on November 5, 2016, Amy wasn’t there, even though Jinger had invited her. At the time, Amy said she missed the wedding because she had made other plans with her husband, Dillon King. The couple attended the 2017 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, a trip they had planned a year in advance.
Because the Duggars tend to have quick weddings, some fans bought the excuse, saying Amy and her husband could have easily had something already scheduled that weekend. But, others thought that maybe Amy and Jinger had a falling out.
To be fair, the Duggar family is so large that the rate of weddings could be hard for some to keep up with.
“I think the family is huge enough now that having every person attend every event is getting increasingly unlikely,” wrote a fan on Reddit.
According to In Touch Weekly, Amy did try to clarify that there wasn’t a rift between her and her cousins, and missing Jinger’s wedding was simply a matter of bad timing because she and King already had something scheduled.
But, it is possible that some type of drama was going on between Amy and her cousins because this past June an insider claimed that Amy wasn’t allowed to publicly talk about her famous reality TV family, and she couldn’t post photos with them on social media.
No matter what is happening with Amy and the rest of her cousins, it appears that she and Jinger are on good terms again because of their new social media connection.
Cousin Amy appeared many times on 19 Kids & Counting, but even though she is a Christian, she doesn’t live the fundamental lifestyle like her aunt, uncle, and cousins. Amy often wore pants during her appearances, and she didn’t court her future husband. Instead, Amy and King dated, which meant they didn’t have to have a chaperone everywhere they went, and physical contact was ok.
Amy and King also got matching tattoos, which is something her cousins wouldn’t do.
Amy Duggar hasn’t made any appearances on Counting On, but we don’t know if that is because she is busy living her own life or if she does have some issues with her family. Maybe it is a combination of both.
Catch Jinger Duggar on new episodes of Counting On Monday nights on TLC.
