It has been over a month since a star of Counting On gave birth, and that means we are overdue for some new baby rumors. However, one fan came through this week by congratulating Jessa Duggar on baby number three. After Duggar posted a pic on Instagram this week of her two boys — Spurgeon and Henry — playing in the dirt, one fan wrote, “They are so cute! Congratulations on your 3rd!”
But, Duggar immediately clapped back by responding, “Thank you! I didn’t know I was pregnant.”
This isn’t the first time Duggar has shut down pregnancy rumors. But, the last time she did, she made a few enemies because of her attitude. She posted a pic of herself in classic baby bump pose and wrote, “Because I’ve been asked if I’m hiding a bit of a bump…big announcement Yes! But it’s currently a shrinking bump rather than a growing one. #postpartum #baggyshirts #thanksforasking.”
Many fans didn’t take the post very well, with one writing that Duggar was being a ““b***h,” but it is understandable because it must be annoying to have people constantly ask if you are pregnant. But another fan said that Duggar should expect it because her family is famous for “pushing out children.”
There were fans who came to Duggar’s defense, with one person saying she would punch someone in the face if they kept asking if she was pregnant, and she doesn’t know how Duggar puts up with it.
The Duggar family has definitely grown at an exponential rate over the years. In addition to Jim Bob and Michelle’s 19 kids, they have also welcomed 12 grandchildren so far during the run of 19 Kids & Counting and Counting On.
But, that doesn’t mean there is a family rule that requires the Duggar women to always be pregnant. Duggar did, however, get pregnant with her second child, Henry, just six months after giving birth to her first son, Spurgeon. And since it has been a year-and-a-half since Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, welcomed baby number two, it makes sense that fans are anxiously waiting for news of baby number three.
Seems like this moment from 2 years ago was just yesterday— and now y’all have your own baby! Time flies. ❤️ P.S. Our kids say to tell you they were happy be of service in giving you a foretaste of the parenting experience. ? Haha! Y’all are great, and are such wonderful parents. ?Love you both, @jingervuolo & @jeremy_vuolo!
Some of Duggar’s Instagram followers also recently threw shade because she hasn’t yet potty-trained Spurgeon, who is almost three years old. When she posted a pic of her oldest son riding a tractor in the family’s backyard, one fan couldn’t help but focus on the fact that he was wearing a diaper, and asked, “Don’t you think he should be out of diapers by now?”
Duggar responded, “My philosophy is that if they aren’t able to do the whole thing from pulling their pants down and getting themselves on the toilet, to pulling their pants back up and washing their hands, then they aren’t ready.”
Catch up with Jessa Duggar on new episodes of Counting On Monday nights on TLC.
