Former Counting On star Jill Duggar posted another video featuring one of her kids on the Dillard Family Blog this week, and of course, it resulted in somebody saying something negative about her parenting skills. This time, people are accusing the 26-year-old of racism because of a comment she made about Bollywood.
Duggar posted a video of her youngest son Sam trying some Indian food while listening to Indian music and titled it “Samuel’s Indian Dinner Experience.” Then, she simply added the caption, “Do we have a future Bollywood star in the family?! In this video, you can tell Samuel is enjoying his Indian food and music!”
And that is all it took for people to immediately attack her for being “racist.”
One person wrote, “Sounds pretty racist to me,” while another pointed out that some people, “Feel like their cultures are typified poorly” and that can be offensive because India is a “multi-ethnic, multi-religious, culturally rich country that is more than just Bollywood.”
Others believed that Duggar was simply clueless about the country and wondered if she had ever seen a Bollywood movie. And considering the fact that her parents didn’t allow her to watch TV or movies growing up, and her parents homeschooled her in a sheltered environment, the chances of her not seeing a Bollywood movie are pretty good.
Even though it is obvious that Duggar isn’t really making plans for Sam’s future in Bollywood, people still felt the need to advise her against it.
According to Cafe Mom, some fans did come to Duggar’s defense and said that she was simply trying to make a comment about her son’s love of Indian food and the country’s music, and it was not an attempt to appropriate anyone’s culture.
Duggar can’t win when it comes to her social media activity. Any video or picture she posts at this point results in some kind of backlash or pregnancy rumor. Just last week she shared a video of her son Israel eating a pickle, and many believe he accidentally broke the news that his mom was expecting baby number three.
“They said you were going to have another baby,” Israel says, before adjusting his statement after his mom says, “What?”

“One day we’re going to have another baby,” he replies.
Jill Duggar recently started her own midwife business called Labor Sit, after quitting Counting On when TLC fired her husband, Derick Dillard. So, as a working mom of two, she already has a lot on her plate. But, she has said she wants as many kids as God will give her, so maybe she does have some big news to announce soon.
New episodes of Counting On return to TLC later this summer.
