Former Counting On star Jill Duggar continues to share bad parenting life hacks on her Instagram, and her latest tip has made people angry. Even though she is the mom of a toddler and a baby, Dillard is teaching them about sex, and she thinks she has found the right book to help her out.
According to In Touch Weekly, Duggar shared a pic of the book The Story of Me and endorsed it in the caption.
“Want to teach your kids about the birds and the bees before someone else does, but you don’t know where to start?” Duggar wrote. “Someone in our small group told us about these books (4 book set) and we love them!”
The problem for many fans is that The Story Of Me is apparently homophobic. The book’s description says that it is never too early to start giving your child “a practical understanding” of their unique and beautiful body. But in one section, it talks about why God wants each baby to have a mommy and daddy, and in another, it talks about how special it is to be made a boy or girl.
Considering Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard are incredibly conservative and part of a fundamental Christian religion, it shouldn’t be a surprise that the couple is using this book to teach their kids. Last year, TLC fired Dillard from Counting On after he went on a homophobic Twitter rant against fellow reality star Jazz Jennings and her family.
But even though he lost his reality TV gig, Dillard continued to take aim at people who were different than him, and insulted Nate & Jeremiah by Design stars Nate Berkus and his husband Jeremiah Brent by calling their family a “travesty.”

Dillard also targeted the cast of Lost in Translation by tweeting that he hoped the series showed the devastation mental illness causes instead of presuming that the changes transgender people make are evidence of an improving society.
The 29-year-old’s social media activity got so out of control that insiders claimed his in-laws, Jim Bob and Michelle, had to step in and confront Dillard about the bad press he has caused the family.
But, even though basically no one misses Dillard from Counting On, there are still fans who miss his wife. After the family posted a throwback pic on Facebook of Jill, Jana, Jessa, and Jinger, fans started writing that they missed Jill Duggar and would like to see her back on the show.
New episodes of Counting On air Monday nights on TLC.
