Today, Sunday, October 22nd, Corey Feldman took to Twitter to refute reports that police arrested him due to marijuana possession. The 46-year-old Stand By Me star intended to perform with his band in Louisana when authorities pulled his bus over for speeding in Mangham on the 21st of October.
Perry Fleming, the Police Chief for Louisiana, told the newspaper that they pulled the former child star over because of speeding. After the bus came to a stop, police ran his plates and discovered that Feldman was driving his car with a suspended license.
Officers noticed the aroma of marijuana after they pulled the car over and proceeded to search the bus.
The police charged The Goonies alum with a misdemeanor of marijuana possession, driving under suspension, as well as speeding and he had to pay a $640 fine instead of posting a bond. The authorities booked four other members of the band on drug charges.

Corey took to Twitter to write that police did not arrest him or put him in jail. He said, in all capital letters, “I received a misdemeanor in Louisiana, due to a member of my crew having medical marijuana, with a legal CA prescription, I had nothing on me.”
However, the police chose to charge him because Corey owns the bus. Additionally, the star claimed that the other members of the band faced drug possession charges for legal prescriptions afforded to them by health practitioners in California.
Louisiana has not legalized medical marijuana yet. The star claimed it was a “good old shakedown,” because the officers asked for pictures and autographs.
As you may already know, several publications reported this week that Feldman claimed he and Corey Haim suffered because of “Hollywood child molesters.” Corey claimed industry executives sexually abused them as children.
The former actor wrote that nobody should live their lives in fear except for perpetrators of sexual violence.
